Workshops

From George Lawrence Stone to Joe Morello, Sanford Moeller to Jim Chapin, Joe Morello to Dom Famularo, Alan Dawson to Tony Williams, Gary Chaffee to Vinnie Colaiuta... in the history of drumming, there are some interesting parallels: Many influential drummers also had influential mentors.

With Anika and Claus, we have the same connection: Claus as a protege of Jim Chapin and Dom Famularo, and Anika as one of the most renowned drummers of our time. Do you want to know more about what has made Anika the artist she is today? And take a look behind the scenes of their concepts? And find out where these concepts originate? To enrich your own musical path ?

I am a permanent member of the band of the Schlager/Pop singer Ben Zucker and have been playing concerts and tours with him since 2021. Since around 2015, I have been part of the Rüdiger Baldauf Band, which operates in the Jazz/Funk/Fusion genre. With the band, we have already released 2 studio albums and play approximately 30 concerts per year. In addition, there are regular concerts with the Cover/Event Band Fresh Music Live.

Michael Schack (Roland)

MichaelSchack

Michael Schack is one of the world’s most well-known (E-)drummers. He continuously performs solo on music festival stages, in clubs, and concert venues. You might also know him from his energetic performances with Netsky (Live). The buzz about his unique, self-produced, and in-demand solo #djdrummer show is going strong: while triggering multi-tempo and entertaining mashup mixes, Michael brings an electronic music performance to a whole different, spectacularly entertaining level with all things drumming 100% live.

Michael Schack is yearly chosen into multiple music magazine top 10 popularity polls and has won several awards, including "E-drummer Of The Year” 3 consecutive times. He’s a certified artist on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Spotify.

As a consultant to Roland’s Digital Percussion development team and contributing V-Drums sound designer, Michael Schack has been very actively involved in the development of Roland’s V-Drums instrument releases since 2004. Apart from being a Roland artist, he’s also been a very loyal international Tama and Meinl artist for many years. As a drumming educator, he’s affiliated with Drumeo.com.

Ralf Gustke (Gewa)

Since I was 10 years old, drums have been my great love and passion. Starting in the marching band, I quickly learned the rudiments on the snare drum, and the drums never let me go. Drum lessons in the marching band, school band, listening to American radio stations, drummer in various bands in Heidelberg, gigs in the American clubs in Heidelberg and the surrounding area. Since the early 1980s, I have been playing with the Heidelberg bands Komazu Baumaschinen, Gute Laune, Pinik und Pur, Zebra. With the band Zebra, the touring life began in 1989 with Chaka Khan, Gerog Danzer, Gianna Nannini, Schiller, Six was Nine, Glashaus, Schiller, Tarja Turunen Nightwish, Sabrina Setlur, Xavier Naidoo, Söhne Mannheims, Uli Brodersen Band, Ali Neander Organ Quartett, Barclay James Harvest, Thomas Blug, and my newest project Pluq and TACOCAT.

Simon Schröder (Tama)

SimonSchröder

Simon has been playing the drums since he was two years old. At the age of six, he started taking drum lessons and playing in orchestras and big bands at the Dortmund School of Music. As a teenager, Simon discovered metal and was often involved with deathcore and metalcore bands until he began studying drums at the University of Music, Theatre and Media in Hanover in 2012.
Since 2016, he has been working as a live and studio drummer, performing concerts with various artists (including Vinh Khuat at the Monsoon Festival in Vietnam, 70,000 Tons of Metal, Wacken, Summer Breeze Festival, Metal Days in Slovenia, among others).
Simon is now a permanent member of the live lineup for the German rock band "Oomph!" and the sci-fi metallers "Cypecore". He can also be heard live with SAFE, the genre-defying collective around Julian Scarcella.
